Description

Klübertop SK 01-205 is a new special lubricant for high demands and loads. It has a synthetic base, contains water, is whitish in colour and turbid, and can be diluted with tap water. The lubricating film stays almost dry in the temperature range between – 40 and + 50 °C. Above 50°C the lubricating film changes to a soft, wax-like structure. It can easily tolerate more than 150 °C for several hundred hours. This special lubricant has good lubricating properties. It is especially effective in the case of mixed or boundary friction and has above average anticorrosion properties. It is also very effective against tribocorrosion.

Application

Klübertop SK 01-205 has been developed to optimize mechanical systems. It is especially useful for systems lubricated for life prior to their assembly. Such systems comprise springs, seals, bolts, joints, screws and bearings made of metals, composites or plastics. Klübertop SK 01-205 constitutes an interesting alternative to lubricating greases or oils for precision instruments, lubricants used in presicison and electrical engineering, sports equipment and other applications where it is important to ensure that mass-produced items are reliably lubricated and protected against corrosion.

Application notes

Klübertop SK 01-205 can be applied by brush, spraying or immersion. The supplied product is generally too concentrated, and we recommend to mix it at a ratio of 1:3 with tap water. The lubricant becomes fully effective as soon as the lubricant film is free of water. Water evaporation is accelerated when the mixture is heated to 50 °C or when the components to be lubricated or protected are heated to 50 – 70 °C. Klübertop SK 01-205 is an ideal product for the splash lubrication of components from series or mass production. Fine layers are obtained through additional centrifugation. To be stored in the closed original container only. Protect from frost. If required, let the frozen product thaw at room temperature. The product will return to its original state and be fully serviceable.
